19.00: “Babe”, 1996, Dir: Chris Noonan, UK , 92 minutter // Filmen handler om: Babe, an orphaned piglet, who is won at a county fair by a farmer. After arriving at the farm, Babe struggles to find his place, but eventually realises that he wants to be a sheep dog. The film has long been considered to have an underlying vegan message by showing farm animals as individuals with emotion and sentience. The lead actor – James Cromwell – became vegan after starring in the movie and has been an active advocate for veganism since then.
